I appreciated the realistic portrayal of their developing trust and communication. While I sometimes wanted to shake them and tell them to be more open, their gradual growth felt earned. Also, the author's integration of their son, Mei Danger(ous), into the story is a highlight. He's an absolute scene-stealer, and I loved his mischievousness. The plot itself is thrilling, and the pacing is nicely balanced, keeping me engaged throughout. Plus, the side couples add another layer of enjoyment to the story. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the overall story, I did feel that the son was somewhat sidelined later in the novel.
