One day, Zhang Chenfei met a car accident. Fortunately, he didn’t suffer any serious physical injuries. However, due to the impact of the car crash, his brain’s perception of the real world had turned into that of the novel that he was reading prior to the accident. The thing that horrified his wife, Jiao Qi, was… the Smart Brain, Louis XIII downloaded a series of books which meant that his husband would turn into a different character each time! How will our adorable little wife deal with this kind of husband who seemed to suddenly suffer from multiple personalities? This novel’s plot focuses on Zhang Chenfei’s changing personality based from the characters in the books, and how his wife, Jiao Qi, deal with every character as he will have to act in sync with whoever his husband’s character is. This is per the advise of the private doctor since treatment of this special condition was still under research. As they act out their roles, they will gradually discover and learn more about the other, which they’ve never known in their seven years of living together.

Mr. Dior Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Mr. Dior "Mr. Dior" promised a comedic, slightly absurd ride, and after diving in, I can confidently say it delivers on that promise – and then some. It's a novel that had me laughing out loud, sometimes to the point of tears, and I found myself thoroughly entertained by the antics of the main couple. ### First Impressions Initially, I was a little hesitant. The premise – a husband whose brain malfunctions, causing him to adopt personalities from the novels he's read – sounded like it could easily devolve into cringe. However, those fears were quickly put to rest. The story immediately hooked me with its lighthearted tone and the sheer ridiculousness of the situations the MC and ML find themselves in. ### What Works Well The humor is definitely the strongest point. The ML's over-the-top personalities, ranging from domineering CEO to vampire lord to Poseidon, are brilliantly executed. Watching the MC, a typically calm and collected CEO, navigate these absurd scenarios is pure comedic gold. I especially enjoyed how the story uses these shifting personalities to explore the couple's established, seven-year marriage. It's a clever way to inject fresh conflict and romance into a relationship that could easily become stale. The side characters are also great, with the butler's deadpan acceptance of the ML's antics adding another layer of humor. The novel shines in creating fluffy, feel-good moments, and the comedic timing is spot-on. I also appreciate the underlying theme of communication and understanding within a long-term relationship. ### Areas of Concern While the humor is a major selling point, some readers may find the premise repetitive after a while. The episodic nature of the ML's personality shifts, while initially charming, could potentially lose its appeal for those seeking a more plot-driven narrative. Also, some readers might find the humor a bit much, and others may not enjoy the lack of steamy scenes. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, so here's where I touch on a few things that might spoil the fun if you haven't read the novel yet. One running gag involves the ML signing his name as "Dior Zhang," which is a homophone for something rather... suggestive. Also, the ML's personalities help to reveal secrets that have been hidden in their relationship. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Mr. Dior" is a delightful and hilarious read. If you're looking for a lighthearted, comedic romance with a touch of sci-fi absurdity, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a novel that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's precisely what makes it so enjoyable. I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Just be prepared to laugh – a lot!
