Unexpectedly, Jing Kingdom’s ambition was so blatant, they actually asked Qi Kingdom to send a prince to Tianyou Palace and marry the general whose leg was broken in this war. This way, Jing Kingdom willing to offer gold and withdraw their troops.
The marriage was uncertain, so Tan Chuyan deliberately angered King Qi and put himself on the road for the marriage. When he arrived in the Tianyu Palace, Tan Chuyan ran away without saying a word and took the little eunuch who was waiting for him.
He slapped everyone away loudly and brightly.
In the Tianyou Palace, Tan Chuyan met a madman. I don’t know who gave this madman a courage, he saw him sitting in a wheelchair in front of everyone and used his sword to lift Tan Chuyan’s chin and said, “I just saw that your skin is delicate, I want to peel it off for collection.”
Tan Chuyuan smiled and nodded, pushed the tip of the sword away with his fingertips, “The general’s appearance is not bad. It’s a pity, I don’t like it.”

Marrying a Disabled General and be His Wife Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
## My Thoughts on Marrying a Disabled General and be His Wife
This novel had such a promising premise, and the tags really piqued my interest. Ancient times, arranged marriage, a disabled general – it sounded like a recipe for a compelling story. Sadly, my experience reading it left me somewhat underwhelmed.
### First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked. The idea of the MC, a transmigrated forensic scientist reborn as a sickly prince, had great potential. I was ready to see him use his modern knowledge to navigate the treacherous waters of court politics and martial arts. The early chapters hinted at a complex world with scheming factions and hidden identities, which is always a plus in my book.
### What Works Well
The core concept of the story is strong. The idea of a forced marriage between a seemingly weak prince and a disabled general provides ample opportunity for political intrigue and character development. The MC's background as a forensic scientist also adds a unique flavor to the narrative, and I was intrigued by the hints of his past life. The author also clearly has a grasp of the historical setting, which lent a certain authenticity to the story in the beginning.
### Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the execution didn't quite live up to the initial promise. The pacing felt rushed, and the world-building seemed incomplete. Characters were introduced rapidly, and their motivations weren't always clear. The relationship between the MC and ML felt particularly jarring. Their feelings seemed to develop out of nowhere, lacking the necessary buildup and emotional connection to feel believable. One moment they're polite acquaintances, the next they're suddenly deeply devoted to each other. This abrupt shift made it difficult for me to invest in their romance.
### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning
The spoiler I saw mentioned the ML's sudden jealousy and protectiveness towards the MC, culminating in a kiss that felt unearned and out of character. The MC's lack of aversion was also noted as feeling unrealistic given their previous interactions.
### Final Verdict
While the premise of "Marrying a Disabled General and be His Wife" is intriguing, the execution falls short. The rushed pacing, underdeveloped characters, and abrupt romantic development ultimately detracted from my enjoyment. I really wanted to love this story, but it just didn't quite click for me. With some revisions and a more gradual approach to character relationships, this novel could truly shine. As it stands, I can only give it a lukewarm recommendation.
