Description

In order to advance his career, Han Cheng married Xia Tian, a man who not only recently became an adult, but was also younger than him by a little over ten years. Since he didn’t want to lead the kid astray, Han Cheng upgraded to a serious post-marriage lifestyle that did not involve any gambling, one-night-stands, or friends with benefits. In order to obtain the chance of entering into school, Xia Tian married Uncle Han, whom he had always respected while growing up. After a while, Xia Tian realized that his respected Uncle Han wasn’t exactly honest and great, but he discovered that too late. His fetus heart had already fallen too deep.

Marriage Agreement Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Marriage Agreement "Marriage Agreement" is a completed yaoi novel with a focus on romance and drama, and I found it to be a mixed bag, ultimately leaning towards enjoyable. The premise is simple: an arranged marriage between a young man and an older, wealthy businessman. While the concept isn't groundbreaking, the execution has some charming qualities. ### First Impressions Going in, I was a little wary of the age gap (14 years is significant) and the potential for problematic power dynamics. Some readers shared this concern, particularly regarding the "obedient shou" trope often found in similar stories. The initial setup felt a bit rushed to others, with the characters' feelings and world-building not fully developed. There was also the worry if the relationship would feel forced or awkward due to the "uncle-nephew" dynamic. ### What Works Well Despite my initial reservations, the novel does have its strengths. Many readers praised the sweet and fluffy nature of the story, describing it as a light and easy read. I appreciated that the main characters were self-aware and confident, and that external forces didn't heavily influence their decisions. The male lead, Han Cheng, is often portrayed as considerate and mature, giving the younger Xia Tian the space he needs while still being supportive. I found the characters to be good for each other, which is why it made sense that they would fall for each other. Also, the story has a good pace and length. ### Areas of Concern While the "doting CEO" trope can be comforting, it can also lead to issues. Some readers felt that the MC was too weak, lacking ambition and agency. I can understand this sentiment; a more proactive MC would have added depth to the story. The lack of explicit scenes might disappoint some readers, though others found the hints of intimacy sufficient. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some reviews mentioned that the male lead confessed around chapter 30 after their first kiss, which might be a good thing to know before going in. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Marriage Agreement" is a decent read if you're looking for something sweet and relatively low-angst. While the age gap and power dynamics may not appeal to everyone, the author manages to create a harmonious romance with genuine moments of tenderness. It's not without its flaws, but the positive aspects outweigh the negatives, making it a worthwhile read for fans of the genre.
