Love is More Than a Word Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Love is More Than a Word "Love is More Than a Word" initially drew me in with its promise of historical romance and comedic undertones, and I wasn't disappointed. This novel is a delightful blend of fluff, character-driven interactions, and just enough plot to keep things interesting. ### First Impressions Right off the bat, I was charmed by the cuteness of the story. It's a lighthearted read, perfect for when you're in the mood for something sweet and not overly complex. The ancient China setting adds a layer of intrigue, and the hints of mystery sprinkled throughout kept me engaged. ### What Works Well The strength of this novel lies in the relationship development between the main characters. The focus is definitely on their interactions and how their bond deepens over time. The comedic elements are well-placed and genuinely funny, making the story even more enjoyable. I appreciated that the "love rival" situation was handled deftly, barely interfering with the central romance, which allowed for a smoother and more satisfying reading experience. It's very much a character-focused slice-of-life story with an emphasis on the romance. ### Areas of Concern While I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, I can see why some readers might be left with unanswered questions. The ending felt a little rushed, with several plot threads dangling. I was left wondering about the fates of some of the supporting characters and the resolutions of certain subplots. Also, I found myself wondering about the oddness of the title and how it relates to the original Mandarin title. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning (Highlight to reveal spoilers) Some readers have pointed out specific plot points that felt unresolved, such as the fates of Peng Xiang, YiYu, Lao Tao, and Mu Chun. The implications of Huang Guang De's case and Xue Yi Hou's betrayal were also left somewhat ambiguous. These loose ends, while not detracting significantly from the overall enjoyment, did leave me with a sense of wanting more closure. ### Final Verdict Despite a few lingering questions, "Love is More Than a Word" is a heartwarming and entertaining read. If you're looking for a fluffy, character-driven historical romance with a comedic touch, this novel is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a slightly open-ended conclusion. I would recommend this novel and would happily read it again.
