Love Can Do Miracles Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Love Can Do Miracles "Love Can Do Miracles" is... an experience, to say the least. Jumping into this josei romance, I was prepared for some office drama and maybe a little angst. What I got was a rollercoaster of emotions, questionable decisions, and a plot that sometimes felt like it was written on a dare. ### First Impressions Initially, I was intrigued by the premise of a divorced couple navigating the complexities of a boss-subordinate relationship, especially with the added complication of pregnancy. The tags promised comedy, and the "determined protagonist" suggested a story of female empowerment. However, the execution didn't quite live up to the initial promise. ### What Works Well Despite its flaws, the novel has moments that shine. I found the side characters surprisingly engaging, often more so than the leads. There's also a certain absurdity to the storyline that, for some readers, tips over into comedic gold. The short length is definitely a plus – it's a quick read, perfect if you're looking for something to devour in a single sitting. I can see how some readers found the female lead's bizarre thought processes funny and the storyline to be amusing. ### Areas of Concern Unfortunately, several aspects of the story left me wanting more. The central relationship between the main characters is... problematic. The male lead's actions often felt cruel and his explanations for his behavior flimsy and unconvincing. The female lead, while supposedly determined, sometimes came across as frustratingly naive and impulsive, making choices that seemed to undermine her own growth. The misunderstandings between the characters felt forced and easily resolvable with a simple conversation, which added to the frustration. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Several plot points are particularly jarring. The male lead's past behavior, including instances of questionable consent, are glossed over with flimsy excuses. The fact that the male lead knew about the female lead's tumor and continued to make her angry, potentially worsening her condition, is also deeply concerning. ### Final Verdict "Love Can Do Miracles" is a flawed but ultimately readable novel. It's a quick, sometimes funny, but often frustrating journey through a relationship fraught with miscommunication and questionable choices. If you're looking for a lighthearted, thought-provoking romance, this might not be it. However, if you enjoy over-the-top drama and don't mind some problematic elements, it could be a guilty pleasure. I'd give it a tentative 3 out of 5 stars.
