At first, she didn’t like this “burden”, later, she felt that this “burden” didn’t seem so annoying. The “burden” is beautiful, delicate but with a flexible personality, and has never really dragged her down. Later, she found that she seemed to be looking at this “burden” more and more favorably, it’s all because this girl is too good-looking! But it’s bad, she wouldn’t be gay, would she!? Lost Land Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Lost Land "Lost Land" is a post-apocalyptic yuri novel that I dove into with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Apocalypse stories can be a hit or miss for me, but the tags and overall rating piqued my interest enough to give it a shot. After finishing it, I can say it was a worthwhile, albeit slightly frustrating, experience. ### First Impressions Initially, the story felt familiar, treading ground already well-worn by other zombie apocalypse narratives. However, I quickly realized that "Lost Land" had more up its sleeve than just hordes of the undead. The slow pacing, while potentially off-putting to some, allowed for a gradual immersion into the world and a more profound connection with the characters. The MC, Mo Ran, starts off with a temper and a certain naiveté, which, considering her age, felt surprisingly authentic. ### What Works Well The character development is definitely a strong point. Watching Mo Ran grow from a somewhat hot-headed teenager into a capable survivor was compelling. The female lead also undergoes a significant transformation, gaining strength and confidence as the story progresses. I found the emotional journey of both characters to be believable, grounded in the harsh realities of their situation. The world-building is also surprisingly detailed, expanding beyond the immediate survival aspects to create a believable and intriguing post-apocalyptic society. ### Areas of Concern My biggest gripe – and I know I'm not alone in this – is the almost complete lack of romantic payoff. The slow-burn romance simmers and simmers, but never truly ignites. For a novel tagged as yuri, the absence of even a single kiss or explicit declaration of love feels like a missed opportunity. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, this is where I have to vent a little. I understand slow-burn romances, I really do. But to go through 183 chapters and not even get a *hint* of physical affection? It's a bit of a letdown. If you're reading "Lost Land" primarily for the romance, you might want to adjust your expectations. Don't say I didn't warn you! ### Final Verdict Despite my frustrations with the romance aspect, "Lost Land" is still a solid read. The engaging plot, well-developed characters, and detailed world-building kept me hooked until the end. If you're a fan of apocalyptic stories with a focus on character growth and are willing to overlook the lack of steamy scenes, I'd recommend giving it a try. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.
