Description

Before rebirth, Xia Man had been wondering, when did Qu Zhen begin to hate her? Was it when she foolishly followed behind her and constantly talked while eating? Or when she would always clumsily break the gifts she was given? So she started hating her? Did she think such a person was not worthy of being her friend at all? Doesn’t deserve the sunshine? Right! Sunshine or whatever, it can only be her Qu Zhen! Xia Man always felt that the friendship between the two was like Qu Zhen’s alms to herself, never equal. Xia Man didn’t understand what Qu Zhen meant until she died. “I thought I never missed it. Now I understand that I’ve never been right.” Qu Zhen, in a sense, died by Xia Man’s hands, not from a zombie. Qu Zhen, you could never have been right after doing something wrong. You should never fall in love with a person with a distorted personality. After Xia Man was reborn, she only wanted one thing. She wanted those who used her to hurt Qu Zhen to die rather than to live!

Living in the Last Days Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Living in the Last Days "Living in the Last Days" presents an intriguing blend of post-apocalyptic survival, second chances, and a blossoming yuri romance. The premise, a reincarnation story set against a zombie-infested backdrop, immediately hooked me. While the translation is still ongoing, I ventured into the completed story to form a complete impression. ### First Impressions The initial chapters drew me in with their well-written prose and the promise of a compelling narrative. The dynamic between the main characters, a protagonist burdened by past mistakes and a devoted love interest, felt promising. The early stages focus on character development and world-building, setting the stage for what I hoped would be a thrilling and emotionally resonant journey. ### What Works Well The heart of this novel lies in its central yuri relationship. The warmth and friendship between the MC and her love interest are genuinely endearing. The unwavering devotion of the love interest is a definite highlight, and the initial angst stemming from the MC's past regrets adds a layer of depth to their interactions. I also appreciated the inclusion of flawed characters, like the persistent male admirer, who, while annoying, felt realistically portrayed. The MC's powers, while present, come with consequences, preventing her from becoming overly powerful and maintaining a sense of vulnerability. The found family aspect, including their adopted daughters, also adds to the story's charm. ### Areas of Concern Unfortunately, my journey wasn't without its bumps. The pacing takes a nosedive towards the end, with plot threads introduced and resolved hastily. The author seems to rush to tie up loose ends, resulting in an unsatisfying conclusion. Character motivations become muddled, and the ending feels abrupt and leaves several questions unanswered. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Specific plot points, like the sudden appearance of a past abuser, their convoluted plan, and the miraculous discovery of a zombie cure, felt jarring and out of place. The lack of explanation surrounding certain characters and events, such as the fate of the adopted daughters and the actions of a traitorous character, further detracted from my enjoyment. The MC's lack of recognition for her contributions also left me wanting more. ### Final Verdict Despite its flaws, "Living in the Last Days" has its merits. The strong yuri romance and the engaging initial premise kept me invested. However, the rushed ending and unresolved plot threads ultimately prevent it from reaching its full potential. If you're a fan of the yuri genre and post-apocalyptic settings and are willing to overlook the narrative shortcomings, this novel might still be worth a read. However, be prepared for a somewhat disappointing conclusion.
