Description

From a caste based high school, bottom-tier Naomi Masatsugu is caught up in a summon of his class to a different world. However, as soon as they arrived the king said, “This guy is unnecessary because he only has clumsy skills ” and it is concluded that he is to be forced to administer the orphanage, which no one wants to do. Unfortunately for the orphanage his skills were cheat skills that cause the girls to cling to him. In order to “defend” the girls that depend on him, he must operate the orphanage while overcoming the powerful people, authorities, and former classmates that surround him.

Isekai de Kojiin wo Hiraitakedo, Nazeka Darehitori Sudatou to Shinai Ken (WN) Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on *Isekai de Kojiin wo Hiraitakedo, Nazeka Darehitori Sudatou to Shinai Ken (WN)* This web novel is... certainly something. I came in expecting a fairly standard isekai, and while it hits some familiar notes, it veers off into strange territory pretty quickly. It has moments that made me chuckle, but overall, I'm left feeling rather conflicted. ### First Impressions Initially, I was intrigued by the premise: a protagonist summoned to another world, deemed useless, and then cast out to run an orphanage. The "kicked out but actually OP" trope is well-worn, but it can be entertaining if done well. The early chapters had a certain charm, but the pacing felt incredibly rushed. The transition from being dismissed as weak to suddenly overpowering orichalcum swords felt jarring and lacked sufficient explanation. ### What Works Well Honestly, finding positives was a bit of a challenge. However, some readers suggest the novel works best as a satire or parody of the isekai genre. If you approach it with that mindset, the blatant tropes and over-the-top scenarios can be quite funny. The sheer absurdity of beautiful girls instantly falling for the MC and villains being defeated with minimal effort can be amusing if you don't take it seriously. ### Areas of Concern My biggest issue lies with the protagonist's characterization. He oscillates wildly between being overly humble and displaying a god complex, often within the same scene. This inconsistency makes it difficult to connect with him or understand his motivations. His density regarding the affections of the girls around him is also frustrating, bordering on unbelievable. The lack of world-building is another significant problem. Beyond the basic setup of humans versus demons, there's little depth or detail to the world itself. This makes it hard to become invested in the story or care about the stakes. The pacing issues persist throughout, with plot points and character developments feeling rushed and underdeveloped. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Several reviews mention specific plot points that could be considered spoilers. For instance, the circumstances surrounding the MC's powers, the instant affections of female characters, and the introduction of new enemies without proper context are all discussed in detail. If you prefer to experience these elements firsthand, I recommend avoiding those reviews before reading. ### Final Verdict Ultimately, *Isekai de Kojiin wo Hiraitakedo, Nazeka Darehitori Sudatou to Shinai Ken (WN)* is a mixed bag. If you're looking for a serious, well-developed isekai, this isn't it. However, if you're willing to embrace the absurdity and view it as a parody, you might find some enjoyment. For me, the inconsistent characterization, rushed pacing, and lack of world-building outweigh the comedic potential. I'd recommend approaching this one with caution and lowered expectations.
