Description

Sakura was mu*dered by her family. The place she was born in again was exactly the same place she read about in her favorite novel. That is, Reshiya, a kingdom that coexists with spirits. The person she was born as was Claudia, a member of the Letsya duke family that commanded the kingdom’s army for generations; and also hated by everyone for the divine protection she received from the dark spirits’ king. Because of that, Claudia was feared by her surroundings from a very young age and her family had a hard time bringing her up. In the novel, Claudia was forced to marry into another kingdom in order to bind a peace treaty. But when Reshiya opposed to the pact in the last moment, Claudia was taken as a hostage and mu*dered in the enemy kingdom. Could Sakura who still held memories of her past life avoid the sorrowful fate of Claudia?

I’m Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness Doesn’t Mean I’m a Bad Person! (WN) Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on I’m Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness Doesn’t Mean I’m a Bad Person! (WN) This title is a mouthful, I know, but trust me, the story within is worth the effort of remembering it. "I’m Not a Villainess!!" plunges you into a classic reincarnation scenario with a twist. Our protagonist finds herself reborn into a world of magic, nobles, and, predictably, villainous potential. But does she embrace the dark side? Well, that's what the story explores. ### First Impressions Initially, I was drawn in by the overpowered protagonist and the promise of a fantasy world brimming with schemes and conspiracies. The whole "reincarnated as a villainess" trope is well-trodden ground, but this novel manages to carve out its own niche. ### What Works Well One of the strongest aspects of this novel is its character depth. The characters aren't simply good or evil. They grapple with complex moral dilemmas and inner conflicts, which makes them feel incredibly relatable, even within a fantastical setting. The author does a fantastic job of portraying the shades of gray that exist within people, and the protagonist's journey to defy her "villainess" destiny is compelling. I also appreciated the exploration of societal issues like racism, which adds a layer of depth and realism to the fantasy world. It's not just about magic and romance; it's about confronting prejudice and challenging societal norms. ### Areas of Concern I can't say there was much I disliked. It is a fun read that I think many people would enjoy. ### Final Verdict Overall, "I’m Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness Doesn’t Mean I’m a Bad Person! (WN)" is a solid read. The well-developed characters, intriguing plot, and exploration of complex themes make it a standout in the genre. If you're a fan of fantasy, romance, and strong female leads, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
