Description

A meteor shower brought a large number of radioactive meteorites, causing the abrupt evolution of a hundred thousand people all over the world. As a result, supernatural abilities manifested, and turmoil and panic followed closely behind. In order to stabilize the social structure, supervisory departments have been established all over the world, aiming to use all their strength to solve supernatural crimes and ensure public order. Shenhai City’s great supervisor, Shen Zhuo, is famous for his cold, tough, iron-fisted, and efficient way of doing things. The evolutionists fear him, hate him, and have no choice but to obey him. The majority of rumors about him focus on two things: first, his bloody and stained past; second, his cold, aloof, but beautiful face.

Hui Tian Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Hui Tian "Hui Tian" is a complex novel that grabbed my attention with its blend of action, supernatural elements, and a mature, character-driven story. The premise is intriguing: a meteor shower grants superpowers, dividing society and setting the stage for conflict. While not without its flaws, the overall experience was engaging and thought-provoking. ### First Impressions I was immediately drawn in by the world-building. The author creates a detailed hierarchy of power, ranking evolutionists and depicting the tensions between them and the commoners. The setup is reminiscent of X-Men, but "Hui Tian" quickly establishes its own identity. I appreciated the initial mysteries surrounding the MC, Shen Zhuo, and his past involvement with the HRG project. ### What Works Well The characters are a major strength. Shen Zhuo, the seemingly cold and calculating supervisor, is a fascinating protagonist. His sharp wit and hidden depths kept me invested. The ML, Bai Sheng, provides a great contrast with his more open and charismatic personality. Their dynamic is entertaining, with plenty of banter and a slow-burn romance that, while sometimes feeling uneven, ultimately won me over. The side characters are also well-developed, each with their own distinct personalities and motivations. I particularly enjoyed the found family aspect that emerged throughout the story. The action sequences are well-written and exciting, and the plot twists kept me guessing until the end. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the story, there were some aspects that didn't quite click for me. Some of the scientific explanations felt a bit flimsy, relying on jargon rather than actual scientific reasoning. Additionally, I found the portrayal of Shen Zhuo's brilliance to be a bit over the top at times. At times, the MC felt a little too perfect. I also found the pacing a bit uneven, with a slow buildup that might deter some readers. The moral message of the story also seems to falter, the idea that humans will always fight against subjugation is conveyed through a fascist main character. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning The following section contains spoilers about the plot and character reveals. The main villain's plan had some inconsistencies. It felt like there were easier ways for them to achieve their objectives. The reveal of Shen Zhuo's origins, as a genetically engineered child created by scientists and linked to an alien entity, added an interesting layer to the story. ### Final Verdict Despite some minor flaws, "Hui Tian" is a worthwhile read. Its strengths lie in its well-developed characters, intricate plot, and exciting action sequences. The romance, while not always perfect, adds an emotional depth to the story. If you enjoy supernatural action with complex characters and moral dilemmas, I recommend giving "Hui Tian" a try.
