Description

Roland is an assassin who, one day, breaks from his team and single-handedly “kills” the demon king. After returning to the kingdom, the king graciously promises Roland whatever he wants for his heroics. Conflicted in his desires – he hasn’t thought of anything outside of killing for years – he remembers that one of his teammates told him what she plans to do after evil is defeated: Live a slow life. And so Roland, with his ability to blend perfectly into the crowd and the disguised demon king Laila at his side, decides to live a – say it with me – slow life.

Hazure Skill “Kage ga Usui” o Motsu Guild Shokuin ga, Jitsuha Densetsu no Ansatsusha Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Hazure Skill “Kage ga Usui” o Motsu Guild Shokuin ga, Jitsuha Densetsu no Ansatsusha Okay, let's dive into "Hazure Skill “Kage ga Usui” o Motsu Guild Shokuin ga, Jitsuha Densetsu no Ansatsusha" – a title that's quite a mouthful, I know! After spending some time reading up on what others think, here's my take. ### First Impressions The premise is undeniably intriguing: a legendary assassin with a seemingly useless skill, "faint presence," trying to live a normal life as a guild employee. Right off the bat, I was curious to see how this played out. The initial hook definitely grabbed my attention, and I can see why many readers were immediately drawn in. ### What Works Well One of the biggest strengths seems to be the blend of genres. It's not just a straight-up action or fantasy novel. There's comedy, romance, and even a touch of slice-of-life, creating a fairly unique experience. Many readers have praised the "Chad" protagonist, who, despite being incredibly overpowered, can be easily manipulated into doing things if convinced it's "normal." This creates some humorous situations and prevents him from becoming a completely boring character. The romance aspect, with a harem forming around him, also seems to be well-received. Some readers found the relationships wholesome and appreciated the MC's genuine feelings for the female characters, a welcome change from the typical dense protagonist. ### Areas of Concern Now, let's address some of the criticisms. A recurring complaint is the "OP-ness" of the MC. While some enjoy this, others find him to be *too* omnipotent and omniscient, making the story predictable and lacking in genuine conflict. Logic can also be a problem, some readers pointed out instances where the MC's actions contradict his supposed assassin background. Furthermore, I noticed a few comments about the characters being one-dimensional and the world-building being somewhat lacking. It seems the plot can be a bit formulaic at times, falling into familiar tropes. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Hazure Skill “Kage ga Usui” o Motsu Guild Shokuin ga, Jitsuha Densetsu no Ansatsusha" seems to be a decent, light-hearted read, but it's not without its flaws. If you're looking for a complex, deeply immersive story with nuanced characters, this might not be for you. However, if you enjoy OP protagonists, harem dynamics, and a mix of action, comedy, and romance, it could be worth checking out. Just be prepared for some predictable plot points and characters that might not always make the most logical decisions.
