Description

A hangover leads to a shared life between a thief and a s*ave girl. Harris is an adventurer who works as a thief and scout, a job that is often shunned due to poor reputation. One day he gets drunk and buys a s*ave girl, Tiana. Tiana, who had been treated badly and not given enough food until then, comes to adore Harris, who treats her kindly, as her master. Harris, who had been hoping that Tiana would grow up to be a beautiful woman, is gradually drawn to her because of her innocence. Harris’ life changes drastically when he begins living with Tiana: warm meals, freshly washed clothes, and interaction with the townspeople who had never come close to him before. On the other hand, he finds himself in more and more troublesome situations, will he manages to escape from them with his skill and tact…? This is the story of the “rebirth” of a shabby thief, which begins with an encounter with a s*ave girl.

Drunken Thief Buys S*ave Girl Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on *Drunken Thief Buys S*ave Girl* ### First Impressions Alright, let's dive into *Drunken Thief Buys S*ave Girl*. The title itself definitely grabs your attention, hinting at a potentially controversial, yet intriguing premise. Going in, I was curious to see how the author would handle the master-servant relationship, especially given the "slave" tag. The blend of adventure, fantasy, and slice-of-life genres also piqued my interest – a combination that, if done well, could lead to a truly unique reading experience. ### What Works Well One aspect that really stood out to me was the world-building. Despite the limitations of the chapter length, the author seems to have crafted a world that feels surprisingly alive and cultured. I appreciated the details about celebrations, national holidays, and even the nuanced ways in which different establishments operate. The little touches, like the rose carvings used to indicate price in high-class brothels, added a layer of depth and sophistication that I wasn't necessarily expecting. It's clear the author put thought into the societal structures and customs of this fantasy world. ### Areas of Concern My biggest issue with the novel is the pacing and the brevity of the chapters. They feel too short to truly develop the characters or the plot effectively. The chapters are so short that the plot can feel rushed, leaving little room for meaningful character development or emotional investment. I found myself wanting more substance, more detail, and a slower, more deliberate unfolding of the story. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, here's where I'm going to get into some potential spoilers, so tread carefully! I can see how some readers might find the focus on the little girl to be a bit much, especially considering the already limited word count per chapter. While I understand the desire to flesh out the characters, dedicating a significant portion of each chapter to her could detract from the overall plot progression and character development of the MC. ### Final Verdict *Drunken Thief Buys S*ave Girl* has potential, particularly in its world-building. However, the short chapters and pacing issues hold it back from being a truly great read. If you're looking for a quick, light read with interesting world-building, this might be worth checking out. But if you prefer more in-depth character development and a more deliberate plot, you might find yourself wanting more. I'm giving it a tentative 3/5.
