Description

Yan Jiyun died surprisingly, and what was even more surprising was that he was reborn in the body of a cat after his death. He thought he would live out his whole life in a cat shell, and his master would care for him until he died. His owner Qi Feng was a weird person. He would often disappear from the house from time to time and would suddenly reappear after a few days. During that period, he would be covered in injuries or suffering from abnormal fatigue. Then one day, Yan Jiyun accidentally touched the nameplate that Qi Feng had always kept with him, and he was suddenly brought into a strange world. No matter how strange and dangerous that world was, Yan Jiyun discovered that he could become a human again in this world! ◆Yan Jiyun (shou) X Qi Feng (gong). The story is a plotty unlimited flow, not a pure romance. It’s quite long, with a lot of emotional drama.

Did You See My Cat? Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Did You See My Cat? "Did You See My Cat?" certainly grabbed my attention with its unique premise. A male protagonist, a cat, and a supernatural adventure? I was intrigued. After diving in, I found a story with a lot to offer, even if it wasn't entirely purr-fect. ### First Impressions The initial chapters were a delight. I was immediately drawn to the MC and his ability to leverage his feline form to his advantage. The early arcs where he's navigating the world solo were genuinely funny and engaging. The game-like elements woven into the narrative added another layer of interest, and I found myself eager to see what challenges he would face next. ### What Works Well The story's structure is a definite strength. The arcs themselves are generally well-crafted, with unpredictable and puzzling instances that kept me guessing. The author clearly knows where the story is going, and the plot doesn't feel convoluted. I also appreciated the gradual development of the relationship between the MC and ML. It felt more natural and earned than some romances I've read, and I liked that the MC remained a compelling character even when the ML wasn't the focus. The side couples that pop up in each arc were a fun bonus, adding levity and charm to the overall experience. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the overall story, there were aspects that gave me pause. The pacing in later arcs felt a bit drawn out. While I appreciate a good amount of detail, some arcs felt like they lingered longer than necessary. I also wasn't completely sold on the chemistry between the MC and ML. While both characters are interesting individually, their dynamic sometimes felt a little off. The misunderstandings stemming from the ML's ignorance of the MC's true identity occasionally felt tiresome and, at times, even hindered the MC's progress. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning I did notice that the ending of the Density game is a key turning point in the story, with the extra chapters revealing what happens to the MC and other characters. Proceed with caution if you prefer to discover these plot points organically. ### Final Verdict Despite some minor pacing and chemistry issues, "Did You See My Cat?" is a worthwhile read. The unique premise, engaging arcs, and well-developed characters make it a standout in the genre. If you're looking for a supernatural adventure with a dash of romance and a healthy dose of humor, you might just find yourself captivated by this charming tale. I'd give it a solid recommendation.
