Description

For eight years, Ye Fei and Gu Ang, two alphas who raised their ranks in the military, were lovers and did everything together. But then, soon after their marriage, Gu Ang asked for divorce. Unsure of the reasons why, Ye Fei became heartbroken. Unknown to the two of them, they woke up soon after their divorce eight years in the past; back when they were freshman; back before they ever met; back before they loved one another. Although the two of them have different views on being reborn, the main question is whether or not this world they were reborn in was exactly the same as their old world or not. Had they created a butterfly effect? Could they save the ones they had lost in those eight years? Were they still going to end up together? Soon they would learn that not everything was the same…. Something was entirely different than their old world… And that was Gu Ang’s secondary gender. He was now, unknowingly, an omega.

Deliberate Mark Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Deliberate Mark "Deliberate Mark" is a completed original web novel that I dove into with a mix of excitement and trepidation, given its mature themes, omegaverse setting, and tags like "manipulative characters." It's a story of second chances, secret identities, and a love rekindled amidst a backdrop of military academy life. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable read, though not without its flaws. ### First Impressions The premise immediately grabbed my attention: a five-star general, Gu Ang, transmigrates back to his younger self and re-differentiates into an Omega, becoming roommates with his future ex-husband, Ye Fei. The initial chapters were intriguing, setting the stage for a complex relationship and the unraveling of past misunderstandings. I was curious to see how the author would handle the power dynamics and the characters' emotional baggage. ### What Works Well I appreciated the author's exploration of the main couple's relationship. Despite the alpha/omega dynamic, the story felt more like an alpha/alpha pairing, with both characters possessing strong personalities. The sexual tension was palpable, and I enjoyed watching them navigate their feelings and hidden agendas. Many readers have praised the couple's chemistry and the relatively quick resolution of misunderstandings, which is a welcome change from drawn-out angst. The reveal of the transmigration's explanation was also a high point, avoiding typical clichés and incorporating interstellar technology in a creative way. I also enjoyed the comedic undertones, which helped lighten the mood amidst the heavier themes. ### Areas of Concern While the romance and plot had their strengths, I did find some aspects less compelling. One recurring criticism I noticed was the MC's inconsistent characterization. The MC's actions sometimes felt irrational, especially considering his past as a seasoned general. The "misunderstanding trope" can be frustrating, particularly when the MC seems oblivious to obvious clues. Some found the side characters, particularly Gu Ang's friend Bai Sining, to be more annoying than comedic. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Several reviews touched upon specific plot points that could be considered spoilers. For example, the identity of the "unknown alpha" who helps Gu Ang during his heats might be a surprise for some readers. The circumstances surrounding Gu Ang's second differentiation and the details of the couple's past marriage are also revealed. If you prefer to go in blind, proceed with caution. ### Final Verdict "Deliberate Mark" is a worthwhile read if you enjoy mature romance, omegaverse settings, and stories of second chances. It's not perfect, with some inconsistencies in characterization and plot, but the strong chemistry between the leads and the interesting world-building make it an engaging experience. I'd recommend it with the caveat that it's best enjoyed with a willingness to overlook some of its flaws and embrace its unique blend of romance, comedy, and military intrigue.
