Cheating Craft Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Cheating Craft Alright, let's dive into "Cheating Craft." I went in with an open mind, seeing the mixed reactions, and I've got some thoughts. It's definitely a unique ride. ### First Impressions My initial impression was… quirky. The premise is just wild: a world where academic success hinges not just on knowledge, but on your ability to *cheat* effectively. Students are categorized as "Learners" (L-types) or "Cheaters" (C-types), and our protagonist is a C-type with a legacy to uphold. It feels like a shonen battle manga, but instead of swords and magic, it's all about elaborate schemes in exam halls and cafeterias. It's a fun twist on the typical school life story, and I appreciate the satire of rote learning that's so prevalent in many education systems. ### What Works Well The sheer absurdity is where this novel shines. The author takes the concept of cheating and elevates it to an art form. The "battles" are less about physical prowess and more about outsmarting your opponents with increasingly ridiculous techniques. I can see why some readers are drawn to the over-the-top descriptions and the ingenuity of the characters. The main character's Zhuge-style cheating is particularly entertaining, ranging from simple tricks to near-sorcery levels of deception. Plus, the characters themselves are quite distinct, each with their own quirks and motivations. The world-building, though focused on the school environment, is surprisingly detailed. The story is fresh and the slice of life element is well done. ### Areas of Concern However, I can also see why some readers might struggle with it. The writing style, while descriptive, might not fully translate the visual spectacle the author is aiming for. It requires a bit of imagination to picture the elaborate cheating techniques, and it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Also, if you're expecting a martial arts story, you'll be sorely disappointed. This is all about intellectual trickery, not physical combat. ### Final Verdict Overall, "Cheating Craft" is a novel with a unique and engaging premise. If you're looking for something different from the usual web novel fare, and you enjoy over-the-top humor and clever protagonists, this might be worth checking out. Just be prepared for a story that prioritizes wit and imagination over action. I'd say give it a try and see if its particular brand of absurdity clicks with you.
