Description

In a failing time-traveling experiment, a spaceship driver and the Chief Scientist both died and were transferred to a new land. The young driver found he had become Fowls, the heir of an Eral family called Mediqi, and the scientist became his housekeeper. Under the control of Fowls, the old housekeeper began his study of the rules of this different land, and he became interested in the basic strength source named Magic. Outside their house, on this different ancient land in another parallel space-time, many countries were fighting with each other. Step by step, three empires rose to become the core of all powers. The Alexander Empire, controlled by both the religious and secular forces, was a place where people were mostly a crossbreed of human beings and orcas. The Eastern Sea Union was created by wizards and witches once oppressed by the Alexander Empire until they rebelled by successfully waking up their inner strength of witchcraft. This was a rather free and fair federation. The third was the small city Earendur, founded by Fowl family, a business giant with political and military powers.

A New Age of Magic Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on A New Age of Magic Okay, so I dove into "A New Age of Magic" with a healthy dose of curiosity, given its blend of fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery. The premise of multiple reincarnated individuals running around definitely piqued my interest. However, my initial experience was a bit of a mixed bag, and I can see why some readers might hesitate. ### First Impressions Honestly, the beginning felt a little rough around the edges. The initial infodump was a bit heavy-handed, throwing a lot of information at me right away. It took me a little while to get my bearings and truly understand the world the author was building. The introduction to the main character also left me feeling a bit uneasy, and I questioned his motivations initially. ### What Works Well Despite my initial reservations, I have to admit that the story does have some redeeming qualities. The writing itself is relatively solid, and the translation seems to be well-executed, which is always a huge plus. I found myself getting more invested as the story progressed, particularly in unraveling the mysteries surrounding the reincarnated characters and their roles in the unfolding events. The world-building, while initially overwhelming, does become more immersive as you delve deeper. ### Areas of Concern My main area of concern stems from the early characterization of the protagonist. His initial actions raised some red flags for me, and it took some time for me to warm up to him. I think the author could have benefited from a more nuanced introduction to his personality and motivations. This might be a barrier for some readers and make it harder to enjoy the rest of the story. ### Final Verdict "A New Age of Magic" presents a fascinating blend of genres and a compelling premise, but it's not without its flaws. The initial infodump and protagonist's introduction could be smoother. However, the decent writing and intriguing mysteries kept me engaged enough to see potential in the story. If you're willing to push through the initial hurdles, you might find yourself enjoying the unique world and the unfolding drama. It's a novel with some rough edges, but with enough patience, it could be a worthwhile read.
