Description

One day, Mika was summoned to another world as a saint. The country appears to be fighting demons, and she was tasked with cheering up the soldiers. However, just as the war situation begins to improve, the true “saint” with magical abilities appears, and Mika is executed for impersonating the saint. However, the moment the guillotine blade is dropped, time reverses and Mika returns to the moment she was summoned, giving her a second chance at life. Mika decides to go to the demons and live freely this time, and is pampered by the demon king, who was once supposed to be her enemy. However, for some reason, the bodyguard who should have abandoned Mika becomes obsessed with her.

A Girl Who Impersonated the Saint Lives Freely in Her Second Life Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on A Girl Who Impersonated the Saint Lives Freely in Her Second Life This web novel, "A Girl Who Impersonated the Saint Lives Freely in Her Second Life," certainly has an intriguing title, promising a tale of freedom and second chances. However, diving into the story left me feeling a bit…underwhelmed. ### First Impressions Initially, I was drawn in by the premise. A girl, wronged in her past life, gets a do-over? Sign me up! I was hoping for a compelling narrative of growth and self-discovery. Unfortunately, my early enthusiasm waned pretty quickly. ### Areas of Concern My biggest issue lies with the protagonist. I found her lack of agency frustrating. She seems to drift along, reacting to events rather than actively shaping her destiny. I wanted to see her take charge, make decisions, and truly *live* freely. But instead, I found myself reading about a character who, despite her past experiences, falls into similar patterns of passivity. The romantic elements also felt a bit underdeveloped. While a slow-burn romance can be charming, the relationships here felt more like obligatory plot points than genuine connections. I struggled to invest in the characters' feelings, as they seemed to lack depth and complexity. The male lead didn't leave much of an impression on me. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some readers may want to skip this section to avoid potential spoilers. One particular concern I noticed was the protagonist's reaction to a returning figure from her past. Instead of sparking conflict or emotional turmoil, the encounter seemed to fall flat, failing to create any significant impact on her character or the plot. ### Final Verdict While the premise of "A Girl Who Impersonated the Saint Lives Freely in Her Second Life" holds promise, the execution left me wanting more. The lack of agency in the main character and the underdeveloped relationships hindered my enjoyment. While the pacing is fine and chapters short, the characters need more depth. Overall, I found it a difficult story to get invested in, and ultimately, I had to set it aside.
