7 Killers Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on 7 Killers "7 Killers" definitely piqued my interest, and after diving in, I can see why it has a dedicated following. It's a wuxia story, but not quite like the sprawling epics you might be used to. This one feels more focused, almost surgically precise in its storytelling, and I appreciated that. ### First Impressions Right from the start, the novel throws you into a world of intrigue and hidden motives. We follow Liu Changjie as he gets involved with Dragon Fifth, a prominent figure. The initial chapters are dense, packed with information, and honestly, a little disorienting. I found myself constantly trying to piece together the bigger picture, which, I think, is exactly what the author intended. ### What Works Well The strongest aspect of "7 Killers," in my opinion, is the cleverness of the writing. The dialogue is sharp and engaging, and there's a real emphasis on negotiation and plotting. It’s a novel where words are weapons, and the characters wield them with skill. I was constantly kept on my toes by the plot twists and surprises. Just when I thought I had something figured out, the story would throw another curveball. This element of constant discovery made it hard to put down. The author clearly has a plan, and they execute it masterfully, revealing just enough to keep you hooked without giving away all the answers at once. ### Areas of Concern The historical setting and cultural nuances might be a barrier for some readers. If you're not familiar with Chinese culture, you might find it harder to fully connect with the story. Also, the initial density of the plot can be a bit overwhelming. It requires patience and a willingness to pay close attention to the details. The translation may not be readily available on all platforms, so finding a place to read it might require some searching. ### Final Verdict Overall, I found "7 Killers" to be a refreshing and engaging wuxia novel. It's a bit different from the norm, with a strong emphasis on intrigue, clever dialogue, and surprising plot twists. If you're looking for a compact and well-written story that will keep you guessing, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared to pay attention and maybe do a little research on Chinese culture to fully appreciate the nuances. I'm giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
